Noticeboard

We are moving towards 'paper light' prescriptions. This means that most medications (there are some exceptions) will now be sent electronically to a pharmacy of your choice. Many patients already have this service set up, but if you don't please advise reception or your clinician of your preferred pharmacy and we can do this for you.

The surgery will be closed on the afternoon of 11th September 2019 for staff training. Should you require urgent medical attention that cannot wait until the surgery is open, please call 111.

Appointments

coffeediaryWe operate an appointment system for all our surgeries. If you have a problem that you suspect may take longer than usual, please inform the Receptionist.

Urgent appointments

Urgent same day matters are dealt with through a telephone triage system. The success of this system depends upon patients ringing in the first instance.

By telephoning, the Duty Doctor can assess whether you require

  • Advice only
  • Attendance at the Surgery today or at some point in the future
  • A home visit

In addition, they are in a position to decide what priority to give certain patients based on the clinical information that has been given.

Please ensure that if you have a call block on your telephone that this is deactivated whilst you are waiting for the Doctor to return your call.

Non-attendance at pre-booked appointments

We will write to all patients who fail to attend for an appointment three times within a six month period. Repeated non-attendance at pre-booked appointments could result in you and your family being de-registered.
